Since Socks for Change began we have always donated socks and winter accessories to Niagara Regional Police and EMS Ambulance. Since 2018 we have donated over 15,000 Wool Socks, Toques and Neck Tubes. The Regional Police and EMS paramedic’s find that helping people with warm socks is a great Ice Breaker for them to work with Niagara’s homeless and marginal people that just need a little TLC.
A warm pair of socks go a long way to soothing the misery of being cold. Because no matter how many parkas you have on, if your feet are cold, you are miserable.We would like to thank the Police Officers and and EMS workers that get our Wool socks to the people who need them most.
